Book cover for author Trish Ryan’s third book, “The Courage to Ask.” Previous works include, “He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not”, and “A Maze of Grace”.
Conceived as a book of “thoughts on praying for a husband,” this image toys with the checklists-for-future-husbands that many of Ryan’s readers present in their prayers.

Created for a First Southern Baptist Church in Tucson, AZ, which has been a staple of the Old Pueblo’s religious community for decades.
Seeking to raise up and send out well-taught, salt-of-the-earth missionaries, the old rugged cross device is meant to suggest the power of God, through the church, to reach the whole world.

Created for San Francisco-based singer/songwriter Owen Plant. A reggae-infused, humorous, and soulful performer, Owen’s style is at once pop/rock and folky/organic.

A city-wide, non-denominational worship, devotional, discussion event for 20- and 30-somethings.
The hand device is meant to imply the hand of healing, as well as a hand raised in the surrender of true worship.

Created for the Cowboys of the Sea Music Festival in Santa Barbara, CA, the challenge here was to reference surf culture and country rock culture in an iconic and authentic way.

Not simply an update to the previous year’s brochure, the 2011 version presented all new articles and advice for bridal-fair goers.
Again, the goal was to create something that clients could keep and refer to over time.
One major improvement over the previous year’s brochure is the addition of original photography. For the 2011 version, Mauryn Kkira and company shot all their own offbeat-couture bridal photos. We populated the articles with actual examples of the very work at which Creative Wedding Solutions excels.

Created and hosted by California reggae-pop favorites The Sunshine Brothers, Busker’s Paradise is a monthly street performing event that brings professional touring musicians face to face with fans in downtown Santa Barbara, CA.
The logo design references the gritty, streetlife nature of the series, as well as the flowering, vine-covered beauty of Santa Barbara.

Offering personalized, custom-written love songs, Sing Your Love Story offers an extremely unique and personalized service for brides and wedding planners. The personal, highly-customized nature of Sing Your Love Story’s service is supported by the emphasis of the word “your” in the logo design.

For Creative Wedding Solutions, we’ve delivered a logo that’s professional and elegant, but also quirky and offbeat enough to stand out in the seemingly-overcrowded world of Boston wedding planners.

CWS owner Mauryn Kkira conceived this project as small booklet of free advice to give out at bridal fairs – something that could be kept and referred-to over time, rather than an advertisement that would likely get discarded immediately.
As with all of CWS’s projects, the goal was to achieve a look and feel completely different from anything else in the wedding planning field. As such, we threw out the normal whites and pastels, and we brought out deep, rich color palette. In lieu of the standard wedding flowers like daisies and roses, Mauryn opted for the lesser used orchids and lilies.
